A little about me

Meet Sierra Dunbar, LPC

Hi, I’m Sierra! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and the founder of Unfold & Elevate Counseling & Wellness LLC. I’m so glad you’re here.

My journey into counseling started with a psychology class that helped me realize where my heart truly belonged. I went on to earn my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Eastern University, and along the way, I developed an even deeper appreciation for the importance of feeling seen, understood, and supported. Through my work with students and individuals across different stages of life, I’ve seen how much people can carry while still trying to show up for everyone else.

Maybe you’re the person everyone comes to when they need something, but you don’t always know who to turn to when you need support. Maybe anxiety has you overthinking every conversation, you’re navigating a loss that has changed your world, or you’re trying to rebuild your confidence after a difficult season. Maybe you’re a young person trying to understand your emotions, an adult adjusting to a major life change, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and centered on you as a whole person. I want therapy to be a space where you can take a breath, be honest about what you’re experiencing, and work through things without feeling judged. Together, we can explore what’s contributing to your stress, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build practical tools you can use in everyday life.

That might look like learning how to set boundaries without feeling guilty, finding healthier ways to manage anxiety, working through grief at your own pace, practicing how to communicate your needs, or learning to speak to yourself with more kindness. We’ll work together to identify what support looks like for you.

I believe growth doesn’t mean having everything figured out. Sometimes, it starts with being honest that something isn’t working anymore. Sometimes, it’s learning to give yourself the same grace you so freely give others. And sometimes, it’s simply taking that first step and allowing someone to walk alongside you.

You don’t have to have all the answers before you begin. We can start right where you are.

Ways we can work together

You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Therapy can help you better understand your feelings, strengthen coping skills, and find a path forward through change.

01

Anxiety & stress

Explore patterns that leave you overwhelmed and practice strategies for managing worry, pressure, and everyday stress.

02

Grief & life changes

Make room for complicated feelings as you navigate loss, transitions, uncertainty, or a season of change.

03

Confidence & self-esteem

Build a kinder relationship with yourself, recognize your strengths, and live in ways that align with your values.

04

Mood & emotional wellness

Understand your emotions, identify helpful patterns, and respond to difficult days with greater care.

05

Relationships & boundaries

Work on communication, boundaries, and relationship patterns that shape your day-to-day life.

06
